The company, Chervin Custom Woodworks–a fusion of their names–starts by specializing in crafting wooden essentials, including doors, tables, and cabinets.

Wellesley, ON

As demand rises and the team expands, Chervin Custom Woodworks seeks a larger workspace, starting with a 3,600-square-foot shop in Wellesley, ON. Focusing on new projects, such as building grandfather clocks. As the company grew, eventually the entire building was purchased to accommodate expansion.

Hawkesville, ON

Years later, the company moved into a 6,500 square foot facility in Hawkesville, ON., suitable for woodworking and with lots of room for future growth. Our focus lands on cabinetry, clocks, and, for the first time, hotel furniture – manufacturing products for a Toronto marketing company known as Artco Contract Furnishings.

Hawkesville, ON

As expected, more growth happens, and more space is needed. This time, they invested in a substantial expansion project at the existing Hawkesville plant, adding approximately 6,500 square feet.

Hawkesville, Parry Sound, Waterloo, ON

An exciting opportunity opens up to work with many of our existing clients (and lots of new ones) to handcraft custom cabinetry for their cottages and boathouses. With this new market comes demand for increased diversity in styles, materials, and finishes – and a new name: Chervin Kitchen & Bath.

Hawkesville, ON

Artco Contract Furnishings, an established marketing company producing custom luxury hotel furniture, joins Chervin and rebrands as Artco International. This transition signifies Chervin's role in leading the production and marketing of hotel furniture across North America, further enhancing its presence in the industry.

Waterloo, ON

Chervin Kitchen & Bath continues to grow with a need for a location dedicated to sales and. This leads to leasing a showroom in North Waterloo just down the street from the St. Jacob’s Farmer’s Market. Colonial Times also relocates to this showroom.

North York, ON

Vogel, who specializes in custom upholstered furniture and has a well-established relationship with Artco, joins the Chervin brand. With a lot going on, this leads to another 20,000-square-foot expansion in Hawkesville

Hawkesville, North York, Parry Sound Waterloo, ON

The five companies in the Chervin family of companies undergo a complete rebranding. The new brand unites all the companies under the same visual branding, as well as core values, mission, vision, and purpose.

Elmira, ON

Exploring new, but familiar, territory, Chervin acquires Snider Bros. Furniture, renaming it Chervin Furniture & Design–utilizing the 17,000 square foot showroom in Elmira to showcase three floors of residential furniture and décor,

St. Clements, ON

Chervin purchases 15 acres of land on the edge of St. Clements, ON, as the site of a built-from-scratch manufacturing facility begin. In 2018, construction began as the main site for Artco International’s 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility–which is complete by 2019. The Artco team moves into the new location gradually to ensure a smooth transition that has as little impact on clients as possible.

Oakville, ON

With future growth and a demonstrated affinity for the tastes of the Oakville cabinetry market in mind, Chervin Kitchen & Bath leases a showroom space on Lakeshore Road, in the heart of downtown Oakville.
